  There aren't many restaurants in Bar Harbor that are right on the water, so my girlfriend and I were attracted to go there. Their portions aren't that great for the prices, and it does feel like a place catered towards tourists rather than locals. That's not a bad thing in itself, but just be aware that the selection here isn't indicative of local lobster prices. I would say that the food itself tasted good, but I just feel that there are better options around for lobster (especially outside of Bar Harbor). Overall, if you want dining by the water, it's not a bad place to be. It's just not the best place for lobster

  Our first trip to this place was 2 years ago on a warm September day for lunch, and we had no problems getting a table and great service and food. On this last trip we had to wait awhile for a table, and the waiting list process was the most disorganized mess I've ever witnessed. After we were finally seated, we heard our name being called again (duh!). The waiter was awesome and made up for a lot. My salmon was good and my wife's lobster was great (how can you screw up a boiled lobster, anyway?). The bill was on the high side as it would be with any Bar Harbor restaurant, the entire town has become unaffordable to normal people for more than a day or two..

  What a great first whole lobster experience! The lobster was great, but I was not a fan of it being on top of the potatoes, and corn in the pot, they got a little too soggy. We had the lobster fondue as an appetizer it was good, but not the best. The blueberry pie was decent, but served cold, and alone, not a la mode. Our server was great and helpful with recommendations, order the blueberry mojito, it doesn't happen everyday, so why not get the feast!
